Starting Nursery

We understand that the transition period from home to Preschool is an emotional period for both the child and the parent. However at The Fountain Preschool, we try to make this period less emotional by making the transition as smooth as possible. We achieve this by assigning each child a key person the very day the child is registered with us. The child key person works closely with the child parent to assist in smooth and fast settling in process. We Also accomplished this by giving the parents/carers and children 2 hours worth of free sessions, whereby they will be in the setting with their child in order to facilitate a speedy settling in process. During the process of settling in, our trained and experience staff work in partnership with the child parent to build a relationship with the child in order for the child to feel secure and attach to his or her key person within this period.
